Supercharger questions/concerns (all F/I welcome :D)
1) At ~14k miles installed Vortech full kit (w/3.33 stock pulley, Split Second piggyback, Vortech aux fuel regulator)
2) 33,000 boosted miles and going
3) I get anywhere between 280 - 320 mpt. I just got new tires and an alignment so that might even go up now.
4) Stock: block, injectors, fuel pump Upgrades: 1/2" MD Plenum spacer, Injen true dual exhaust, 2 x Kinetix high flow cats
That's basically it ... It had been my DD for about 6 months and essentially still is but I work from home now so don't drive as much.
This car has seen both the dragstrip and the track on several occasions. When taken to the track though I will always run about 1/2 tank of 106 Octane for safety.
Only problem I ever had was one of the two bearings inside the cog assembly went bad and was making a loud whining noise. I diagnosed and fixed it myself...
My suggestion is to start out finding a tuner that implicitly knows the Split Second software (for the full kit) or Utec software and push for a conservative tune (don't advance timing for a few extra hp). Get the A/F graphs through the RPM range. IMHO this is going to be the biggest factor in the longevity of your motor.

Search a thread titled "Vortech FAQ"
There you will find EVERY single detail about anything Vortech related...I dont have any experience with the kit...But from those I've talked to it seems that even someone with minimal experience with installs should be able to do things rather easily...Just go slow and be sure to read each direction twice...Find that thread over at 350z.com and I promise you'll feel much more comfortable...You and your father will have a good time doing it...I hope your not too young as thats a good amount of power to be pushing...Be easy with her, and enjoy...
