What's the diameter of the R1 Ti again?

Anything 2.5 inch would work well. The HKS is too small to make good power.

amuse is 3 inches for b pipe then goes into twin 50mm canisters in muffler section, and exits 4 inch tips. I plan on using it with a sc. hope that helps.

What do you mean "just a catback"? There are many other exhausts out there that would do the job better than HKS on a centrifugal/turbo'd G35.

I advise you to stick with a 2.5 inch exhaust. Anything bigger and you'll have too much flow for a Vortech. Anything smaller and you'll be choking up-top.

PS. HKS is a 2.25 inch exhaust; great for NA, not for FI.

A [ no cat ] 2.25 true dual exhaust will flow plenty for the power the stock Vortech kit makes . And even should be good with the smaller 3.12 pulley on it . I have a Stillen exhaust [2.3x in. ] and it should be good to about 500hp . I am getting my car tuned right now and will be nmaking around 20psi of boost . I may have to go to a bigger exhaust soon

If you had to pick between the two and are running low boost, HKS would be best

Wrong. I just saw one a couple weeks ago that was making over 600 whp on race gas and it was running the HKS exhaust. Also, the HKS exhaust is about 2.5" (60mm = 2.362204724412").

I'm running the HKS on 7psi and make 355whp, so it's not that bad. Plus it sounds amazing.

I'm running Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust which is 2.5 inch piping and it works beautifully with the Vortech. I had HKS before this and I made more power and a lot more torque with the Fast Intentions exhaust. But if HKS and Amuse are your only choices, definitely go with HKS. I still love that exhaust and wish they made it with 2.5 inch piping.
