IMHO if you worrying just about price, you shouldn't go with FI, it's just a wrong thing to do for people with tight budgets or who do not like to tinker with their cars
it will always carry extra headache and expense vs. NA car

^ the perfect reply. Follow this advice. Enjoy NA. There isnt anything wrong with the stock power.

If I had to guess, the lower end of pricing for FI would be the Vortech full kit. But I would still budget $10k for it.

Then you got a great deal that most people would not be able to find.

A new Vortech installed and tuned would run most people at least $6k.

protocolx219, you need to do a lot of reading before you just throw out a question like this. It is obvious you have not done any research.

There is a good secton over on My350Z.com that has tons and tons of info on this subject. Start there and spend some hours reading up before you even spend a penny on boost.

you don't always have to dump 25k+ on a FI project (you eventually will, but not right away ). you can start a budget route
- vortech 4500 or less
- some cheap 2nd hand gauges $250 or so A/F and boost (can add more later)
- install 1k
- tune $500

* this is an absolute barebone setup, and will get you started on the road to your financial demise.

Don't buy it then. I'm sure GTMotorsports has plenty of happy customers without your negativity.

The most inexpensive way to go FI would be to go to a shop for a Vortech SC or Procharger install. I suggest having them install since you're asking questions about adding pistons...
