Need some help with tightening the belt on vortech

man this thing is squealing like a pig after i installed it about 2 weeks ago...its time for it to be tighten... anyone have some advice or a DIY? i dont wants to f*ck it up and not be able to drive the car to the shop.

it is the micro v serpetine belt...if thats the same

i found a DIY im contemplating doing it. hopefully all goes well.
im tired of making an apointment to go to the shop just to tight the damn thing

find the tentioner pulley.....loosen the bolt for it [ 14mm socket ] Take the plastic pan off the bottom of the engine bay [10mm socket ] .....find the tentioner [ 12mm socket ] tighten it till the belt only has 1/2 inch play....test it at the longest span of belt . Tighten up the pulley bolt......bingo !!!!! your done

The only pain in the whole process is removing the plastic tray to get at the bottom bolt. You can just cut an opening in the plastic (or remove it altogether) to make adjusting the belt even easier.
