Too many miles to go boost?

I have 76,000 miles on my 04 auto coupe. Is it too late now to think about getting supercharged? Just curious if it is even worth it and if i should expect more problems with this many miles. The car has been maintained perfectly with oil changes and belts and everything else. Thanks

Never to late to go boost. Your engine is going to be good literally ever. Your transmission is the only thing i would worry about mine is still strong after 120K.

As long as your engine is in good shape, why not. Go for it.

Get a compression and leak down test and if you pass with flying colors then you are golden. Can't really answer this question coz it really depends on how you maintained your car and how was it driven during those 76,000 miles.

You can do a compression check yourself if you can change your spark plugs.

If you have an air compressor, you can also easily do a leak down check yourself.

I'm going to do a leakdown before I throw my vortech on and I'm at 112k miles, since I have a decent pressure regulated air compressor. Should happen in the next few months.

You only need to do one or the other. A compression test is easier, but not nearly as telling as a leakdown test.

Nah...I'm going boost this summer and I have 91K on my car. But I am having the engine completely rebuilt and all new heavy duty internals.

I had just over 70k on my car when I built the motor and it was running great. I just wanted more power. Of the 70k over half of it was boosted either Stillen stage 2/3/4 or Greddy at 8-10lbs.
