I've driven it about 50 miles so far. Good news is that the shifts are more crisp, and the lockup is gone at most cruise speeds (had been occurring at 30 MPH, 60 MPH, etc.), but the bad news is that it's still there at 40 MPH (the speed referenced in the TSB). Only difference is that now it's a really quick jolt and release, whereas before it would often get stuck and you'd go into this God awful endless loop of vibrations until you slowed down 10 MPH or so. I'm beginning to think this is just the nature of the 5AT, there were people posting about this problem in 2004. I guess they put in a new VB, but it has the same defect!

Guess I can't complain as long as it's structurally sound. As long as it controls the shifts properly, the slight jolts are really just a nuisance. A small price to pay compared to a fully built transmission.
