vortech vs. ATI

What are the differences in quality and power? Which is better, and what are the prices. I want to get some more power, and not sure which one to go with. Is a Front Mounted Intercooler included in either package? Any info would be great on these 2 FI kits. Thanks.

Kyle

Re: vortech vs. ATI

My only warning is that when JIC Magic installed their ProCharger on their 350Z they found that the bypass valve leaked...They found it necessary to install a TiAL BOV on the intercooler discharge pipe (use whatever BOV you like, JIC just sourced TiAL)...Other than that, Vortech might just be superior, with the fact that they include a stand-alone ignition timing control computer and fuel management

On the G35, the ATI kit has a very poor solution for air filtration that costs 1psi. So, you're basically comparing a 6psi kit (ATI) with no timing retard with a quieter, less expensive 8psi kit (Vortech) that has timing retard control. Both have programmable fuel delivery.

Re: vortech vs. ATI

Well, I installed an ATI on a friend's SS camaro, and I was not at all impressed witht he build quality(at least the kit for the camaro). He got impressive gains after tuning (500+rwhp), but I'm sure he could the same gains with the vortech. Anyway, I personally didn't like the build quality, but we had no issues otherwise. Just the home depot type hoses I didn't like.
