Yes the two step is a launch controller.
The "two step" refers to the addition of a second rev limiter.
The OEM rev limiter would be the first step, the added rev limiter would be the second step.
I've got most of the actual programming done now. I can now program the two step RPM value in the car without touching the box. I just have to find time to dial in the programming for the two step - hopefully later this week.

There is no programming button persey, and you have to rev to your desired setpoint, not 1/2 the setpoint. I will release more information about it later this week once I finish everything up.
I eliminated the 1/2 setpoint so that people like me can still use the two step (I need it set to about 2800 RPM). I was afraid that if I did the 1/2 thing again that it wouldn't go low enough for some people.

Sorry for the delay in updating everyone....
I got the two step working really, really good up to 5500 rpm on my built car (8.6:1 compression). I'm going to install one on my non built G35 (10.3:1 compression) and see if I can get the two step to work all the way to 6800rpm. I'm hoping that my low compression is what is restricting me to 5500 rpm.
I am confident enough to start sending out the testing units WITH the two step already programmed in to it. Like I said, the two step won't hold RPM above a certain point, but all that happens is the motor slows down to the max value it can hold (ie it won't fly past red line and won't hurt anything).
How many people would be solely interested in just the speed shift option? How about just the two step? How about both? At the curtain projected price ($130) we should have the ability to offer one feature or the other for a lower price (something like $70 for speed shift, $99 for two step, and $130 for both). All three different products would share the same hardware platform so you could "upgrade" to a different option by simply buying a replacement chip (the difference in what you paid vs what you want).

Here is the latest video!
It shows the two step working at 3,000RPM and then at 6,000RPM. I had it working at 6700RPM but I didn't film it. This is on my low compression motor - I expect the same results on the high compression (stock) motor but I didn't get a chance to install it in my stock G35 yet.
So far everything is great with the module - I have a few very minor tweaks to change a few things, but it will only take a few mintues.
So, at this point, we are ready to start testing the Speed Shift and the Two Step module!
