stock block FI: which Kit to go with?

I want to keep my g35 a daily driver. I do not plan on building my motor, but I would like to go FI for the added horsepower. What kits do you suggest?

1. I would like it to stay my daily driver.

2. Be as reliable as it is now.

3. I do not want to build the motor.

4. I would even go as far as de tune it so it produces less boost to stay under the 400HP mark if you guys suggest it.

Let me know your opinions are on this. Most important to me is that it stays as a daily driver. Thanks.

I would suggest you go to the top. There is a little button there called Search.
You may find a thread or two about FI on a stock block.

Assuming a good install and tune, how long a stock motor will last when boosted can only be estimated based on statistics and probabilities. These two threads should shed some light on that. Nevertheless, when you boost a motor (and use the boost), you create more strain on its components. Generally speaking, when components are under heavier strain, they wear out faster.

That said, some people are seeing acceptable longevity on boosted stock motors, so long as they do not exceed approximately 400 RWHP. Do these motors last as long as they would were they not boosted ... probably not. But is it worth boosting anyway? imo, heeellllll yaahhh!!!!

No forced induction kit for the VQ will fit that requirement.

There are more reliable kits out there, but none of them will be as reliable as an NA VQ35.

Better yet, just get a turbonator.

If you are going to recommend a product, it would be much more helpful if you provide substantive information about the product or a link that provides such information. I for one have never heard of a "turbonator." When I searched for it under Google, I found some web site full of what I would call marketing hype, but no real substance.

you're right. FYI, the turbonator is used solely for the purposes of ridicule and joking.

But op FI will never be as reliable as the block will be NA. Ur taking a risk going FI because they are so many things that could potentially go wrong. If I were to give you advice about the "best reliable kit", I would say any supercharger setup. Vortech would be ideal but any supercharger setup (imo) is safer than turbo apps. Simply for the reason bein the power band is much more linear. But always expect something to happen when going FI
