Vortech dyno results
Re: Vortech dyno results
Hi again,
I am about to put my ATI Procharger on my second Coupe. This time I will be using the Technosquare flash, and 380 injectors. I am also going to add another factory Nissan fuel pump on the drivers side for the extra fuel. The ecu flash will get the timing down around 19 degrees at 7k. I am shooting for around 11 to 11.5 on the dyno as an average a/f. When out on the road cars often run about .5 leaner than on the dyno. This would have me around 11.5 to 12 as an average. I really want 11 on the dyno.
A local shop has used an aftermarket device to control fuel maps in a high horsepower Z convertible very successfully. If I can't achieve the Richness I want I will do this mod. Using this device allows the ecu to control a/f. This is a big help for different conditions. Cold, hot, high altitude, winter fuel, etc. If you use an FMU which comes with both superchargers your ECU isn't in control of the a/f. I am sorry I can't remember the name of the device. A laptop is used to set the fuel maps. It also has two fuel maps available so you can instantly switch to high octane fuel for higher boost and higher horsepower. My car will have the SC, Stillen Cat Back, PE 380 injectors, Technosquare Flash, Crawford Headers, Crawford Plenum, Crawford Cats, and 1 temp lower copper plugs. My previous coupe dynoed 349.7, and I am hoping for 370's with this one and a more safe engine.
Thanks,
AlanL
