header and oil pan removal Q

Hey, I have a question for you guys that did your own installs (or shops that could shed some light).. How hard are the header and oil pan to remove? I was just looking through the repair manual for the G and it mentions that liquid gasket is used on the oil pan. I just remember it taking me and hour + to get that crap to let go of the pan on my tC.
Also, someone on another forum said I would be wise to have a shop install a kit b/c there's barely any room to work to get the stock headers out. He was referring to his Z but would it be correct in the situation of the G??

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help

The oil pan is a piece of cake to take off and yes i uses rtv as its gasket. The headers are a total pita to do and you dont really see much gain for the dollars spent.
