100% throttle not possible?

Hey, I've been recording my HKS:iS' readouts on my DDIN to see what it's reading out and I noticed two things.

A. I can't go over the high 70's% in throttle.

B. these things need a higher tolerence for airflow lol.

But A. is where my concern is at- if that's something that might actually be holding me back? maybe the traction control at some level is retarding me. Because, I'm not a math expert but 20% more throttle could be a good thing.

Or do you think the iS is just stupid.?

Are you sure the TP sensor is calibrated right? Try removing your floor mat and really jam your foot and see if makes a difference.

My vote is for STUPID IS!

take your piping off and press on the pedal to see if the TB opens all the way up. (with the motor not running, of course.)

I do believe that the OEM throttle body should open to 95% or so. The throttle body is like a butterfly valve and the last few % won't make a big difference on air flow.

Thanks for that chart- I think I will check out the throttle body. I'm going to keep my eye on this.. maybe get a new, bigger TB =D

I know thats a big upgrade on the SRT8 jeeps, but I don't know anyone that makes TBs for the G...?

its probably the calibration that was setup by your "tuner" ...

His tuner ,while not very well known on this site, has a very repitable name in south florida.

I'm ready to race any time you are ready! same wager of course! 40-140 roll.
ehhh but you should probly bring 100% throttle to the race, otherwise im gonna have to go ahead and tell you to bring me gas money too :-D

ps. don't worry you won't hurt my ears :-D

Go ahead and call up japtrix- I'm sure roger can teach you a few things.
One of the nicest guys I've met. You could probably at least learn a few things there. I really don't see a reason to troll my threads because I hate your convertable G35. Real professional.

I think I'll keep my racing on the track though- thank you.
Your car sounded cute when you pulled up that day at the gas station

I checked the TB- It's definitely opening enough to not really be an issue as far as I can tell- I apprecaite the useful input.

Does that actually work? I mean, it's not cable driven. So the TB shouldn't be actuated, correct?

If the ignition is on (but the motor not running) the throttle body will move.
