Anyone using a Camp2 setup with a nav headunit?

I want to know who is using a camp2 setup to display their vitals on an aftermarket head unit. What I want to know is which headunits allow you to display the gauges while still listening to music from cd/mp3. From my understanding some will and some won't let you do it so...I'd like to know what models for sure will let you display gauges and still play music.

Thanks.

Hmmm i dunno I was just thinking that if you had a camp 2 it would normally be for forced induction. But I guess you could have one for your N/A.

The external stationary should still be available. NVE-N872A, I haven't hooked it up to the W505 yet but it should work just fine. http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...odel=NVE-N872A

Pricey but worth it to me, I've played with Eclipse and Pioneer navs and I'm happy to have Alpine.

I guess what I meant was the head unit with nav in it, not having to use a separate source. Anyway...but by breakaway video you're saying that you can display from your composite inputs without the music stopping?

They have no HU with built in nav.

Yes both my HUs can switch to a video source without switching away the audio source. As in view aux, dvd, camera, nav while still listening to ipod.

You'll still want to install a dedicated amplified speaker so you can take advantage of the alarms on the CAMP2.

Hmmm...so does this mean if you have audio from a music source it won't play the alarm overlapping through the regular speakers? Are you using a camp 2? I saw your car at GTM the day you dropped it off. Thats they day i went in to see the shop and get my total quote.

On my G35, the CAMP2 alarm can't play over the radio. But the navigation can work that way because it is integrated. The CAMP2 has it's own RCA audio outputs.

The camp 2 allows you to display everything that you would normally display with a gauge onto a aftermarket headunit that has RCA inputs. GTM has it and has a sensor package so you can display your oil pressure, fluid temps, the MAP sensor from your Supercharger for boost, EGT, etc, and anything off of your ECU.

So did you install a dedicated alarm speaker for it? How much did that run you?

Not yet, but I can't imagine it being hard. Find a cheap 2 ch amp with level control and a couple of cheap speakers. A 1 ch amp and 1 speaker would work, but I figure it's better to be redundant since I'm using it for alarms.

HKS should have put in an optional "boot up" tone to show that the audio is working, but they didn't.
