That's Tom's car. He has got a single turbo system now ona fully built engine (forged internals - low compression pistons).

He is going for twin turbo i think.

Re: 410hp G35 going for 650

haha yeah that is kinda funny, every one seems to want those single turbos, and yet he is already having to upgrade to twins. the car looks good though, but that front licences plat mount is kinda ugly. 650 HP is going to be insane

It is also worth mentioning that he got 410hp at a VERY high 13.8 psi. Shows you that a single turbo is NOT worth it. The same horsepower can be had with the PE twin turbos at 7.5-8 psi.

You don't know what's up Tom's sleeve. Maybe a 4.5 TT with a supra tranny. hehehehe

Re: 410hp G35 going for 650

you got that right, but i am pretty sure he is gonna stop with a TT, that is right before he sells car, heheh

I do have to say that I am not too crazy about the design of his setup. He does NOT have a MAF, he has a constant CEL on, he has a MAP-based air metering - whihc is not too fast/accurate, he does NOT have the drive-by-wire system... NOt sure all that power is worth it or is usable. I would be satisfied with 400 rwhp.

That just means he has a small turbo, If I were to go single turbo it would be a T-78 or T-88, then see how much power it will be producing at 13.8 psi

Actually I am not a big fan of the drive by wire thingy myself...

cuz sometimes I want to give a very little gas very quickly.

(but it's just like in Windows when you have mouse acceleration on.... kinda annoying...)

how much work is it to change the throttle control to a linear kinda setup?

I totally agree with you fluffy. On my way to work, I was messing around sliding in a turn and wanted a little gas, but instead it gave too much and almost hit the curb. Very unpredictable

yes but would you want the check engine light to be on contantly? I agree with you that the control is not very fine, but it is also not bad at all.

Re: 410hp G35 going for 650

Anyone know why his ashtray/cubby hole opens like a garage door with a release button. I have a 2004.5 and it opens the oppisite way, down with no button. I like his setup because it allows you to put in gauges/controllers like he did. Is this a JDM mod? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

His ashtray/cubby hole is the original 03 coupe design with the center console without the armrest. He changed the armrest to the new style and kept the cubby hole. I believe you can get that piece from the dealership if you really want it.
