What kind of Spark Plugs for Nitrous/Supercharger?

I know it should be 2 heat ranges cooler than the stock ones. Where is the best place to buy them and what brand/type? Anywhere on the net cheaper? Thanks a bunch.

I'm a firm believer in the ZEX spark plugs, designed specifically for forced induction...Check them out at their website, www.zex.com

Re: What kind of Spark Plugs for Nitrous/Supercharger?

I had called Zex last week and they said they did not have any "yet" for the G35? Does anyone know of a good site to get some top of the line spark plugs from? Website links would be great. Zimbo, did you buy yours online?

Re: What kind of Spark Plugs for Nitrous/Supercharger?

No. On NA cars going colder and smaller gaps will hurt your performance. The reason you go colder is to prevent detonation from the higher and hotter cylinder pressure and temp. Smaller gaps are to prevent your spark from 'blowing out', the more pressure in the cylinder the harder it is for the spark to jump the gap and in Forced Induction especially, the spark can get 'blown' away.

Re: What kind of Spark Plugs for Nitrous/Supercharger?

Does anyone know someone that stocks these plugs or can get them? Internet Site/ Co. Name or phone number if possible? I would appreciate the lead. Copper would be great too as long as the heat range is 2deg. cooler. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Re: What kind of Spark Plugs for Nitrous/Supercharger?

FINALLY!!

i confiremd the p/n with the dealer (17$ a plug!!) with NGK's 1-800 hotline, and they pointed me to a one step cooler plug p/n....

for ease of gapping (will need 0.30 to eliminate blow-out tendancies) i went with traditional tipped.....

oem = plfr5a-11
one step colder = plfr6a-11 (stock #7654)

i bought them online next, from www.ngk.com

good luck

Re: What kind of Spark Plugs for Nitrous/Supercharger?

Folks,

The best plug in the market are Denso Iridium Power. NGK was licensed by Denso to produce an Iridium plug using Denso technology. The original(Denso) is still better since it has a smaller tip therefore a more powerful spark.

If you want the best plug out there get Denso Iridium Power. They are expensive but are the best. Any Autozone carries them.
