Yep I got the transgo kit and a B&M cooler. I am seriously considering a new torque converter and the alto clutch packs. I have a friend who is a tranny guy (he did the transgo kit) and he will perform the install for cheap..

A tc is only really needed if you are gonna drag race alot and they suck for dd driving.

Ha very nice; ever have your car pulled over in Cali for the turbo? I am still deciding between an APS, Turbonetics, or the SFR ST. Nice to see the APS put down excellent numbers; the SFR is tempting though...

What do you guys think of this:

I know SGP is to be avoided but they claim their VB can hold up to 550 RWHP or possibly even more with the upgraded clutch packs. Just curious; I will probably stick with Transgo and yours and others recommendation of 450 RWHP/TQ being the brink.

Sorry to keep going OT OP; last OT post by me; haha.

I get the tranny to hold until about 2800 rpm before she rolls. Then after launch it just falls on its face. High stall converter is going to be a must to realize its full potential. My tuner says we could do a small shot of nitrous just at launch to compensate.... however i worry about that..The thought there is...to hit it with the nos to get off the line...and he says there is nothing to worry about motor wise that he"ll just adjust the timing for it.
Ha wow; the NOS shot might be interesting though especially if your tuner thinks it will be alright on the motor.

Here are the guys that have performed all the work for me to date.

http://www.murillomotorsports.com/

Mike is a friend and i have known him since 90. I don't live near any Z car/VQ specialists so i said WTH. They know turbos. They are Mustang guys but believe me they know what they are doing concerning FI and turbo setups. His car runs like high 6.XX in the quarter. Anyhow....they seem to not like water/meth injection for some reason and every time i bring it up they steer me towards putting back on the juice. I guess it would have to be like a 10 shot or something. The Stang crowd runs juice and FI all the time.

Yeah I am in the same boat. I am probably going to get the car built at a mainly domestic shop but I think they just produced a 800 RWHP Supra so hopefully I am in good hands .

60 Ft Times Just Suck!!!!

Well fellas...

I am disapointed..I went out tonight to test/tune the G and although i got a couple kills I did not get anywhere near what I have run in the past with the NOS.

Here are the slips...

RACE 1 - 7 lbs boost 93 GAS on slicks versus the clock

RACE 2 - 7 lbs boost 93 GAS on slicks versus my friend Bobby (2005 Mustang)

RACE 3 - 9 lbs boost 112 GAS on slicks versus my friend Tim (2001 Vette-Auto)

Anyone with an AT that has a suggestion on a good stall/torque converter? Something someone has personal experience with? Guess I MUST change my sig now.

Oh man; I was really hoping you would get into the 12s. I think I can kiss my dreams of 11s out the window...

How much shot of NOS were you using before and your launch method this time?

Edit: Maybe getting a boost controller versus the UTEC just acting as the barrier (only holding up to as opposed to holding to)? I am not really sure but I hope you can get a time lower than NOS.
