GT Motorsports: Project "Stroked 8" N/A and Twin Turbo Stroked VK56
The reason I ask is that I think an LS3 is quite a bit lighter than a VK56. Don't quote me or hold me to this, but I think that an LS3 (6.2 L) is about 100 lbs. heavier than a VQ35, whereas a VK56 is more than 200 lbs heavier than a VQ35. Either way, the F/R weight distribution is going be thrown out of whack.
Nonetheless, if you use a rear transmission/transaxle setup, that would help to balance out the extra weight of the motor.
If I'm not mistaken, you guys are also experts in Vettes... Pull some of that technology over to the Z/G, and I'm in for sure. (i.e. how about putting in a built LS3 with a rear mounted transmission?)
