Thumbs up Sarcastic Thank you / Car goes in shop today

Before I get the rant part of my post. I'd like to announce that my car is finally going back into the shop today to start the rebuild. I've got a couple different directions that I'm thinking of going, so depending on the extent of damage to my motor will depend on what I do.

I will be having Apex automotive do it out of wellington, the only people i've dealt with who have not only been straight up and honest but have given me good deals on work and done fantastic work.. everytime.

Which brings me to my rant. I've done a lot of thinking over the last few months when my car starting going bad and I'd like to thank a few people for it.

1. DM2 for pretending to be nice guys, just to try and turn a few bucks.
2. Japtrix for giving me horrible service, follow up and for ultimately being responsible for my blow up. [ I hear that jack blew up Dan's CL Type S too- what a shock] (Roger, the tuner- is exempt from this rant)
3. Performance factory for blowing me off when my car really needed someone to look at it. I understand he was fixing on moving- but I also know he took other customers on "emergency basis". Which I was definitely at.
4. Winston for again trying to take advantage of me by selling me his used built short block for 7,000 plus labor charges at my expense. And had the audacity to call it a good deal.
5. Myself for not being more self educated and thinking that because I pay people good money to be experts on this kind of stuff was an excuse to not try to know as much about it as possible. I thought I had done my homework and was relying on the right people. Clearly my own ignorance in this manner is at part to blame as well.

Outside of that, I'm looking forward to coming back with 440-500RWHP on a good reliable tune. And being one step closer to my goal!

I would like to thank Canadian- He's been a solid guy throughout the years we've been on the forums.. Much <3

I'd be pissed too if I spent mad money on my car and something catastrophic happened to it...

Regardless, I think it comes with the territory of modding cars though.

You're in Florida, why don't you send your car up to GA and have Forged do some proper work on it?

sux bout your motor though

you can't have enough knowledge or info. Read/study on. Most shops are low budget operations with the "techs" being "kids".

I agree about JT .... a bigger axxxxx hxxxx. I have never met.

Check all ..... Cross check all. Beware.

I really didn't want to drive to Orlando to see someone who I didn't like. I met him at a meet- he doesn't remember but he was an ***- I'm over that. No one told me to go there first, nor would I have- and I'm still glad I didn't. My point was I was told no-- then others asked, and they were told yes (After I asked no less)

Apex is great, he really stands by his work and get stuff done wicked fast. My motor build will take 4-5 days. I think this is his 3rd VQ build.

He doesn't really specialize any kind of car- ( I guess he's partial to mustangs though )

He's just a really fantastic mechanic

I appreciate the good feed back- I can't wait to get going with everything.

I still got those cutouts The motor was murdered- I would have called you if it wasn't blown.

I'm not sure if I'm going to put the cutouts back on for the lolfest. I have a super nice custom 3" custom exhaust now.
