Who runs their F/I G/Z on the 1/4

I'm wondering how many of you are actually chasing a time slip time, or if you are more interested in dyno results.

I don't see many posts on the official time slip thread-- I think I'm second.. which I'm really sure shouldn't be the case. But it just made me think what the main goal for everyone is

I'm after a 10.99 with full* interior ^_^ (good luck, right?) With everything legal but the tires.

*Roll cage and no backseat

i just like going fast, going to the track is cool though

but i havent gone cause i dont have DR and dont care enough to spend the money on tires and another set of rims just to go to the track

i went a couple of times NA, my best was a 14.2 w/ just an inake and exhaust (full interior & 3/4 gas)

but FI w/ street tires = waste of time IMO

i went down the strip a couple times. track test and tune nights conflict with my other obligations so i cant go very often. plus it makes me nervous on the stock block. i need a new clutch as well as my stocker is on its last legs under hard standing starts

I chase timeslips with my other car. I think I turbocharged the G because I needed a project and had nothing else going on, and my GSX is at home 1000 miles away. I also fell into a great deal on a TN kit, sold it, and then fell into another good deal on an APS twin kit... Then knowing how I am with boost, built the engine and it just went from there.

It keeps me busy as when I get free time I work on the tune and accomplish little projects now and then. I like the feel of acceleration too.

I'm notorious for running insane MPH for my times also. One of these days I'll learn how to drive the one car and get traction in the other.

Yeah, I made the mistake of going on my 275/30ZR19's. I could spin to the 330' lights then pick up 30MPH in the big end. Maybe I'll try drag radials some day.

I'm not going to consider 1/4 until I get wider rim/rubber. But once I do I'm hitting the track for sure.

Same...I spin through the 1/8th often....every pass is 9.0@90mph at the 1/8 (can't do anything in 1st or 2nd gear at all on the khumo's, sometimes 3rd is a chore too depending on power setting)......have picked up anywhere from 30-47mph in the 2nd half lol

Same here I need better tires but also time, I am just way to busy to even think about enjoying the speed anymore.

Hey I have the fastest time on the board lol but not in my G35

Are 18's more ideal for drag radials than 19's?

I don't understand how yall spend 10,000s and don't spend 300$ on some slick / DRs

there's no feeling like 1.77 60' and my 1/8 mile equates to a 3.3 0-60 on that calculator thing.

On less than 400 whp on a ****ty tune... that's fast.. I love the strip.
