Getting Boosted!!! Vortech S/C Stage 2

Hey guys, i've got a 2007 G35 Coupe 6MT. I just put in a order for a vortech S/C (trying to make 400whp).

I got quoted $5800 installed/tuned. Is that a good deal?

Any issues i may be running into? Will the stock clutch hold up?

Also would i benefit from a MREV2 and Skunk Spacer while i'm getting it installed?

The MREV will help, but get the MD 1/2" spacer, not the Skunk. This is not just personal preference, it's a dyno proven fact.

Yes, $5800 sounds good, as long as the tune is good.

I've never heard of any "stages" for the Vortech in my entire time in the G & Z boards.

I would definitely upgrade the clutch if you plan on hitting 400+ hp.

you won't hit 4000 with that budget. You will ONLY hit 330 whp. In order to hit 400 you need a different EMS injectors and a pulley. Further a "stage 2" vortech kit would only get you 375 whp.

You're not going to hit 400whp with that budget. MAYBE 400 at the crank...but I would be very careful as you will have a huge risk of blowing up without the correct supporting mods.

Who is installing it and tuning it for you? Exactly what is included (fuel system specs, ems, exhaust, ect?)

headers, exhaust, test pipes or hfcs, at least 550cc injectors, basic fuel return, clutch, haltech ems, 2.87 pulley and a good tuner and you will hit 400whp. with the budget you got, you arent gonna hit that number.
