JWT Twin Intercooler Dimensions

Hey Guys,

I have an 03 G35 coupe 6MT. I just bought a slightly used HKS GT-RS turbo setup kit from a guy over on my350z. The plan is to build my own intercooler setup that is very similar to the JWT twin intercooler design, so I can keep my stock bumper and still have good airflow through the intercoolers.

My question is, does anyone have dimensions of the JWT intercoolers? Length, Width, Height and inlet/outlet diameters would be very helpful. Also, any closeup pics anyone has of the intercoolers installed with the bumper off would be very helpful!

Oh and also, this is slightly off topic but how much power is the stock clutch generally good for? I am not planning to build the motor, so I won't be going over 400 whp.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Don't have dimensions

But a guy who's handle is "niceguy001" built a custom IC setup like you are thinking of. Do a search for threads he started or Pm the guy. He has been EXTREMELY helpful in getting me pointed in the right direction. Actually, he is now switching to a large single IC setup so may be willing to sell what he made. His hp goals are VERY high!

Pm me if you can't find him. I'm pretty sure he is here but may be my350z.com

The JWT is good for low psi, it gets restrictive way before 19psi with cfm of the larger turbos.

Sylvan Lake you are the MAN! I freaking love this forum. Could you confirm the inlet and outlet diameters? It looks like somewhere in the 1-1/2" to 2" range but it's hard to tell.

Is that the stock front crossmember? I have never had the bumper off. If so, then thats sweet - no intercooler mounting brackets needed!

leojang - if I could find a used one, I would! Anyone got one for sale?

Nice pics - looks like 6 x 20 x 3.5 inch cores (times two of course). Rookie, you moved to 850bb? Did you change IC? Sylvan, are you thinking of changing the IC? I really like the dual setup mated to the stock bumper openings...

I'm on the 850s now, and changed to the Greddy ic. I was using the 350z ic, big difference.

For piping and coupler info this should help. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...06-13-2007.pdf

Rookie, can you clarify what you mean by big? Dynos? Or links to dynos? You have too many posts for me to find a dyno chart!

hahah, I don't post dynocharts very often. I'll do an after next week, the Greddy ic changed my AFR after we did the change without changing my manifold boost pressure. Went a bit leaner which is fine cause my AFK widebands read richer than tail pipe sensors. I didn't change the piping diameter to the ic yet, that's for a future after dyno as well.

This year I plann on keeping my JWT intercoolers due to budget. Next year i think I will do the Greddy or custom twin spearcos.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of power were you limited to with the JWT intercoolers. I have spoke with Sharif and XKR a bit about it. They said 550whp at 19psi Sharif also said they will heat soak very quick at that point( i think that was on the 700bb) your right the psi might be lower due to the additional air volume the 850bbs will push. I just wondered if you mind sharing that with me. PM or post here thanks.

Your welcome MX592. Let me know if you need anything else.

Stock cross member. I think it was 52mm about 2" I could measure again I never looked at rookies link it might have that info.

Make me an offer on my intercoolers if you like I have no idea what they are worth. If the price is right I would let them go and upgrade this year instead of next year.
