why didn't he plug the utec back in a calulate for the new mods.. i know Dave works magic with tuning the UTEC.. this just goes to shows how new products not having proper testing could lead to ruining into issues...

^well i will say before anyone bashes daves shop that dave does do good work and he is a stand up guy and if there is an issue he would fix it for sure. now that being said claud did leave with it knowing it made 317 and didnt investigate or really question the issue and didnt want to give dave the chance to fix it( i can understand).

i do forsee drama comming out of this but really at this point it is about getting the car back up and running.

on a similiar note, i went to a shop had them do some work, completly jacked my car up and it had to leave on a flatbed and was delieverd to dave shop. dave fixed it and it ran strong after. the orginal shop didnt want to own up to anything since they "didnt have the chance to fix it" but at some point you need to cut your losses. had a pretty hefty bill from that one. maybe this is a similiar scenario for this?

I also had an issue with daves work, and he took my car for a week, gave me a loaner and fixed it for free.

Something is NOT right here. Dave is a pro tuner and Osiris is solid for tuning FI cars. Osiris is not entirely intuitive though and you need to have a good grasp/experience with it but it does give you full control of the car. Going back to the UTEC would be a backward step and would not solve the underlying problem(s).

i would not call someone with unde 5 years of tuning a pro.

i 100% agree something is wrong. from the 10+ cars that went on the dyno when that car got on the dyno at the bbq every turned from the sound of it(not loud, just not running right)

osiris has the limitations of the failsafe of the ecu... oh wait there really arnt any. second ecu reflashes work well on oem turbo cars because the ecu have all the sensors needed from the factory. and the fact that dave doesnt have alot experience(although fully trained) with the osiris is a key reason why going back to the utec is wise, thats like giving a 800hp supra to a 16 year old, in a civic he could probably go around a track quicker. experience is crucial

to further that talk to shariff(think hes a retailer of osiris) about the osirius reflash, its great, but what does he personally run on his car....hks vpro with knock amp, etc... yes it is more expensive and all around a better system but the main reason is the failsafe and precision that the ecu lacks

IMO the best thing other than a standalone is reflash AND utec. The extra safety (knock, overboost control) of a UTEC goes hand in hand with the drivability of a good reflash. I would never take out the UTEC unless I was going full standalone, in otherwords built motor time.

Sharif's car is built motor plus not just putting down 350~450 whp. I wouldn't use osiris if i'm thinking about going high power. But i do agree rcdash, there is something NOT right...

Could you post dyno sheet? I'm at this moment going with osiris soon with adding RFS...
