Navi / Fi / Fcon
Ok so I was just curious on how the factory navi determines the fuel / miles until empty.... Mine has been very crazy like 800 miles until empty ever since doing my turbo setup. I was thinking it was a caluclation based on injector size and fuel level reading? That was just my guess. Does anyone know for sure. I skimmed over the service manual but I did not see anything that tipped me off.
It is not a big deal if this feature never works again, I was just curious more than anything.

Not sure on the miles to empty as mine seems to work fine even after the turbo install and Fcon system but on the same line before going turbo my miles per galloon which I never trusted anyways use to say 27mpg now after the install it states 14.3 but even by my own calculations starting with an empty tank I calculate 20.4, so does the stock computer go crazy after going turbo?
It's a simple calculation.
The ECU knows fuel temp and level. This allows the ECU to know how much fuel is in the tank.
The ECU also knows injector size, fuel pressure, injector pulse width, and miles traveled. This allows the ECU to calculate your average miles per gallon.
Put the two together and you can estimate how many miles you can tavel on the gas in the tank.
Since I put in larger injectors, even out of boost my readings are significantly off, as the PW of the injectors is significantly shorter now (I think my injectors are 650s). However, I'm guessing that there would be a pressure setting and an injector size that if everything were perfect you would still be getting about the same PW while out of boost.

If you have put in larger injectors, the oem fuel economy graph will not be accurate. Personally, I'm trying to setup the CAMP2 fuel economy option to see if that will work better.
Still working on trying to get the eco mode up to spec.
But..I was able to get rid of the interference on the screen. The quality of the adapter that was used is questionable. It was also connected with clips, instead of saudering. I had to purchase a nav tv module (which seems to be of high quality), it was installed and saudered in. Now the resolution is so much better!!! No more intereference, there is some very small graphic jitter in the corner but that is expected. So, although I had to spend over $500 in labor and parts (that's employee discount btw), I am very pleased with the results. I hope I can recover the costs of the previous adapter that was installed with unsatisfactory results. NAVTV module is the way to go!

I worked on mine for a while tonight with no success...
My setting are as follows
Nissan2
eco - 1800
speed correct - 150.1
power - 100 (did not figure it out)
car weight - 1580
gas - 2.30 (i honestly do not know what it cost I never look)
auto past - on
For some reason my speed I tried it on all settings will not read anything.... It just stays on zero. Any ideas? to share setting that you are running
