How to quite down Vortechs BPV?
I know this has been talked about before but never saw any really good answer. What are people doing to quite down the Vortechs BPV. I know there is a filter i can buy, but i heard that doesn't do a lot. Any info is appreciated.
Is it just loud or are you hearing a whistle?
If its just loud, either live with it or point it towards the engine / center of the vehicle. the engine will muffle the sound somewhat. you can also put a filter over the opening, but you may run into clearance issues with your sway bar (if the BPV is pointed inward) or the engine liners & belly pan (if BPV is pointed outward).
If you're hearing a high-pitched whistle, the filter may also work. alternatively, i found that a thin strip of cloth was enough to get the noise to go away. you just want to change the direction of flow out of the BPV slightly so it doesn't whistle so loud. do not put anything directly over the opening - make sure air can still escape the BPV freely! Also, if you're still under warranty and can deal with some downtime, you should consider sending the BPV to vortech for inspection / rebuild. you don't want to put a bandaid over the symptom of a larger problem with the BPV.

I dont need it to be completely silent, but tone it down by half would be nice.. ill consider poiting it up towards the engine as i believe its pointed strait back now.

^ hose works too...i think tylerxfire did that and added a filter to the end. btw, the bpv can only be pointed towards the wheel or towards the engine.
the loud wooooosh sound is perfectly normal. you'll get used to it and like it soon enough
the remedies i mentioned are if the BPV is making an unusual noise.

I read somewhere that could cause some issues?
