What head gasket for going 10+psi

Hi guys, I am getting ready to install some internal goodies but prior to that I wanted to know your thoughts about the HR head gasket, I will be using the LR19 ARP studs so which HR gasket cause there seems to be a <2007 and a >2007 versions. I know there is a modification to be done to the block (read about it on JWT) but it does not mention which HR gasket to use.

I believe that the HR motor was not introduced until 2007. So, it seams strange to me that there would be HR headgaskets avialable before then. But who knows. I would suggest doing some research on the subject.

Edit - I think you are confusing the rev-up and the HR motors. Anyway, from what I understand, there are 3 generations of gaskets for the VQ35 motors, and the latest generation (HR) headgasket is the one you probably want based on your post, assuming you make the modifications indicated by JWT. One more note, I believe the VQ35HR and VQ37HR motors use the same headgasket, but I have not verified this.

You will need to Mod the block for the HR gasket if you are using a DE bock. The block has to get cut to allow coolant to flow properly.

There are indeed 2 different HR gaskets I was looking to buy them from autocenter.net which sells nissan parts. I used the scroll down menu for a 2007 350z nissan and there are two options:

Head gasket, 350z, right, to 4/07 - 3.5l(vq35hr) - 3.5L(VQ35HR)

Head gasket, 350z, right, from 4/07 - 3.5l(vq35hr) - 3.5L(VQ35HR)

They both have different prices and they both say VQ35HR so which one is it? My thoughts are the POST 4/07 is the one because it was the same used in the G37 and according to the JWT site :
http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...HEAD_BOLTS.pdf

that is third one on the pdf.

I have some time before I actually disassemble my engine to install these headgaskets and some other stuff but for now I just wanted to do some research.

the 04/07 - now is the gasket you'll want. Slightly revised version of it.

Now since I am going FI soon , will a pathfinder cooling mod +HR headgaskets(which need some modification to the block) do the trick.

Does the pathfinder mod needs a termostat on the rear of the engine?
