350Z/G Coupe / Sedan

Was doing research on putting together a FI system on my sedan. I noticed all the prices out there are more for G35 sedans and coupes than they are for 350Zs. So what the hell is the difference? Surely a small change in piping (if even required) does not constitute a 400$ price difference. its the same engine as far as I know with some small structural dissimilarites. So why are ours more than the 350? Why can't I bolt up a 350Z system and just custom fabricate piping here?

You probably could, but it wouldn't be worth it. If the kit is made for the z then it's been tested for a z. Adding custom fab could affect the performance or reliability. Also the cost of custom fab could be more than the $400 price difference. Just my thought

Which kits are you seeing a price difference i never really noticed before. i have a friend (SN: red35) he used a Jim Wolf 350z kit on a G35 and it fit but tooks some fabricating, it wouldn't take much to be at $400 in fab charges IMO. The engines are the same but as you said there are a few differences between the G and Z i am not 100% sure on what the actual difference in the kits would be though.

check out the Turbonetics single turbo w/o cat. theres a $450 difference there. I could make my own custom piping for less than that. If I'm making my own, could probably save on some price of the kit as well.

I'm not necessarily ordering my kit from here, its just for comparison purposes...
