HKS FCon tuners is bay area CA
Hi all, I just wanted to know if there were any tuners closer to me than going down to LA to have this thing worked on when required.
I think one of my sensors has gone out as my FCon Navigator when car is started up the AF reading goes from 7.4 to 22.2 and then is supposed to settle around 14.5-14.7 but this past weekend the sequence went from 7.4 to 22.2 and then right back to 7.4 I can drive the car but who wants to drive that rich and foul up the plugs.
Anyhow I do not want to drive down to LA just to have what maybe a AF sensor installed, anyone know of a local Evo shop or something that works on this unit in the bay area.
Thanks

Do u have dual wideband? Is both acting up or just one? If 1 is acting up just switch them around and see if it is the actual wideband sensor going out. And if it is, just buy another one and replace it ure self. Why spend all that money to have it replaced when it takes 30 minutes to jack the car and take off the sensor ure self? U can borrow the tools at autozone etc.

LA is nice this time of year
call HKS and ask them if they have someone in your area...

^ +1 for swapping the sensor yourself. Also, does your wideband allow you to do a free air calibration...basically unplug the sensor, turn the the power, and let the sensor warm up in the open air, turn off the power, and reinstall the o2 sensor. i don't know about the HKS system you have, but innovate recommends u do this periodically.

Thanks guys well I know what went bad and what I had in the car, I have the Innovate Wideband O2 sensor and that is what looks like took a dump, I called Sharif and Sam and they both stated that they do not last very long and the the HKS knock Amp is way better way to go. The big difference of course is cost, one is 200 and the other 1200 installed.
I mentioned Evo shop as there is one in Union City that is HKS certified so they would be able to work on the car as they would hopefully know the system but as I have an Innovate then I see no issues with fixing it here.
Thanks guys.
