Finished! Rebuild of Turbonectics ST with a Garrett

Long story short, the crappy turbonectics turbo went through 3 rebuilds and it was never right. Ordered a Garrett T3/60-1 to replace it. A new downpipe was made and and adjustments were made to the intercooler pipes.

So here is the mod list.

Turbonectics single turbo kit
Garrett T3/60-1
UpRev
HKS Exhaust
Stock block

400whp and 350wtq @ 5.5psi

Video by Corey @ Slowmotion Motorsports

As soon as I get the official photo shoot from Slowmotion, I will post some of their pics here as well. (these photos were taken by my crackberry)

That's a lot of power at really low psi. How much psi did the original kit run to get the same power before you modified the piping?

I don't see how 400whp at 5.5psi is even possible on stock everything ( except exhaust ). I could believe it at 8psi.

My car did the same thing with the boost on a dyno pak, it showed 19psi on the cars boost gauge and the dyno screen showed 15psi . 400whp at 8psi would seem to be more accurate.

boost gauges aren't exactly acurate, even the electronic ones aren't 100%. I'd trust the dyno before the gauge.

COrey at Slowmotion did several runs at 5.5, 8, and 10 to see what my motor was handling. When I was at 6psi on the turbonectics, i was 375whp and 361wtq @6lbs. That vid he did late so maybe I will ask him to chime in here...I will pm him to ask him to put his two cents in.
