I am not 100% sure on the greddy specs but as far as I know they are journal bearing and they are oil cooled so if you do road racing or track events they are not a good choice.

The JWt uses ball bearing turbos (they are more efficient than journal bearing) and they are also water cooled. If you do some searching you should be able to find lots of info on both systems. One down side of the JWT kits are you need them to installed by a JWT authorized installer this can be PITA if there is not one near you.

I have had the 530bb kit and the 850bb kit and have driven a car with the 700bb kit they all perform great the 530bb kit however dosent leave much room to grow so the 700bb kit is a better value IMO.

Most people that ended up with one of these kits had to have the turbos rebuilt with Garret centre sections if you plan on buying a used kit that has the old turbos then APS would be fine. If you search on my350z.com there will be info on when the switch was made and the issues people encountered with the sub standard turbos they included in the kit this may only be the extreme kit you would have to do some research though to be sure. Support for APS is also supposed to be pretty much non-existent.

The APS Extreme kit comes with the good turbos...the other kits APS offers you would be correct in the quality of the turbos.

Hi ALL,
My first G, I had APS single turbo. That kit gave me a lot of troubles...from oil return issue to oil passing through the turbo into the intake . I sold this car in 2006.

About a year later, I returned to the G family again. This time, I bought 2 . My current Gs, 03 with JWT 700BB, fully built motor, 6spd, pushing 510 WHP at 15 PSI with Haltech. This kit is great, no trouble so far...17+ months now. For DD, I use map A for 450 WHP @13 PSI. It took me a while to get use to the power it has. It sounds so so due to the fact that JWT has cheesy BOV.

My other G, 04 with Greddy 20g with stock engine running 5psi at 380 WHP, using Greddy E-management....6spd, very low milage under 13k. I like the way it sounds (external waste gate, BOV etc..) better than my JWT. I drive this G only on nice weather. To pick one of the above, I'd pick the Greddy ones. I like their BOV sounds, large external waste gate, 3.5 " thick FMIC, high polished pipings, simple design and no need to have JWT authorized dealers to do the installation . my 2 cents Ned
