u have to install the PE first to insure better bumper fitment.
I like PE cuz u got so much room to work with. not like the Greddy that there is no room for error! No bumper brace! I'm in big trouble if I get into accident. I better start look for my block soon. we gonna have some monster G's by next year!!!!

Are you guys gonna change the heads (is aftermnarket even avail yet?) or will you strictly use the new pistons for lowering the compression? What about the stock crank? Do they make girdles for these blocks that will give more strength to the bottom end? What are you guys doing beside pistons with some rods that appear to be very well built!!!

I think the stock crank is already forged.

stock block is basically already near bomb proof...no real need for sleeving. Stock crank and tranny was already tested to withstand 1000HP or assumed to be.

I know my engine can take it, especialy now with forged pistons and rods.I'm just a little stressed about my auto tranny giving me problems.I know that some have no problems with the tranny but it still stresses me out.

There's always a risk when going FI.

Consider that the oem [JR507E] 5AT has an absolute 333 lb/ft [450 N/m] torque limit on the input shaft.........sure it will tolerate more for a little while at least. The planetaries and clutch drum were made of aluminum to save weight. The unit weighs 23% less [55 pounds less] than old 4AT it replaces.

 

Q45tech, is this why the cars with the V8s (M45, Q45) with the 5AT have torques listed at 333? Is it possible to beef up the stock 5AT at all?
