bov change?

so id been reading up on google and whatnot on whether or not i would need a retune with a different bov. So far i've come up with yes because i have aps bov which recirculates and the bov i want to put on is hks ssqv. Just figured I'd double check with you guys so I don't shell out for a possibly unnecessary re-tune. Any input?

BOVs dont do anything besides venting excess pressure in your charge pipe. So no you do not need to retune.

I usually don't help with these questions because I don't find it worth my time to help people that are changing out to a BOV for the little sound it makes. If your current BOV is recirc and you vent to atmosphere the ECU will add fuel for that amount of air when you release the air out of the system it will become rich. This has been know to cause the car to studder or hesitate if you can live with that you will be fine. This also depends on the Piggy back or standalone you are using if it is MAP sensor based you will see no negative effects but MAF controlled cars may experience issue.

I prefer to help people that have done some research and would like advice to help improve the performance of their cars, I guess that is my choice. Relax I am not sure how not usually going out of my way to help guys make loud BOV noises has to do with me relaxing
