Ok guys, I'm looking for anyone with experience with jwt s7 cams on a 06 rev-up motor. Today I was at the shop and we started my car for the first time since the new motor was put in. I have a long block built by Kyle at import part pros. So far the motor runs good. Just need a few adjustment on a few things but I noticed a slight ticking noise kinda sounds like injectors. I asked the shop mech. what it was and he said it sounds like the valve train.
It is not a tap just a slight ticking. The mech said he didn't do the motor so he can't say what the valve clearence is. He said not to worry cause Kyle may have set them that way because of the cams and the work I have done. I'm goin to call kyle on monday I was just seeing if anyone can give me any info on this. If it's normal or not.. Thxs guys!!!

I noticed the same noise as well. Just picked my car up from the shop today, I also went with the Greddy TT. In for an answer.

Question: In that pic, is that your windshield washer fluid reservoir above the passenger side on the intercooler?

 

Yea it is. Are you running jwt s7 cams?

 

No, heads are stock. For me, the sound was faint and barely audible. Could only hear it when accelerating.
