Needed to Supercharged?

I was wondering what I need to supercharge my 04 G35 Coupe.
I'm only looking to get 400rwhp. Maybe down the road more but 400rwhp is good for now.

Here are the things I found that I think I need:
-Vortech Supercharger Kit from stillen.com
-Pistons and Connecting Rods from CZP (Wiseco Pistons 8.8:1 95.5mm and Eagle Connecting Rods Combo Kit)
-Clutch from CZP (Southbend 435TQ Cap)

Optional Parts that I want:
-Kinetix Intake from CZP

vortech kit with smaller pulleys with 600 injectors along with a tune and your normal bolt-ons....400hp worthy. no need to build the motor unless it needs it aka blown up/smoking

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the motor will hold so I thought I might need to build the engine up a little.

^Do it right the first time and build it. There are many debates about how much whp/hp/tq the VQ motor is capable of. YES there are some that have driven thousands of miles on FI problem free and then there are some that haven't. Ultimately it's your motor and your choice. I'm turbo charged and opted on building my motor. It kind of offers a sense of safenes and longevity regarding my engine. RESEARCH my friend.

I think I will just build the engine right away and get it all out of the way to begin with. Do you think I need a new crankshaft? Cause I want to just put pistons and rods in.

Help yourself and do some research my350z.com has a larger FI section with more info start there. I will guess you will be in the ball park of $15,000-20,000 by the time you get a built engine and FI kit properly installed. If you are building an engine dont waste your time with a supercharger get a turbo kit.

If you want 400whp, it is not a must to build your engine, if you want more you should built it but with a supercharger you wont make much more than 400-450whp.

I have the money to do either turbo or supercharger. I just thought supercharging would be easier. Can I bolt on a twin turbo kit on my my car after I put just pistons and rods and get no more than 500rwhp? I would rather have the twin turbo but I'm not sure how to go about it.

The boost can be turned up or down so you could 400whp or turn the boost up and run 500whp. If you pull the engine to build it you bolt the kit on when the engine is out of the car. Boosted Performance makes an excellent single turbo kit that is more affordable and can be installed with you car on jack stands in a day. His SN on this site is 350Z T pm him for details.

If you're asking questions as basic as this, I suggest you read a lot on my350z and g35driver.com. There is A LOT of info on both these boards, and you can save yourself time by searching. If there is something you have searched but can't find an answer to, then post. For starters check out this thread:
