High Altitude, low expectations..Treadstone Turbonetics?

I use my "06 AT Coupe as a daily driver. I like the gas mileage, and I love the car. My daily commute is from 4,000 ft elevation to 6,000 ft. When I am at sea level I am amazed at the power...At higher elevations it is really anemic. Here in New Mexico we have some really great drives, some of which go up to 9,000 ft. elevation.
So turbos are a very acceptable and traditional solution for this, and all the silly little intake and exhaust mods seem to me like a waste of time and money. I have a Z tube and a Stillen airbox, and I like the sound but, I want 100 more horsepower. I am thinking that putting on just a basic single turbo with nothing else may be the answer. Treadstone Turbonetics single turbo? Is this any better than the regular Turbonetics turbo? Ball bearings? Can I get away with no transmission mods or exhaust?
Thanks guys,,,,,

the turbo kit that treadstone sells is the exact sameone as the one turbonetics sold. turbonetics just sold the rights of that turbo to treadstone. if your lookin i to a single kit i would go with the momentum performance kit. you can get away with doin no trans upgrades but would at least recommend a trans cooler. going single you will most likely need to do a exhaust mod. i am runnin the tn kit but want to switch to the momentum kit.

Boosted performance is also a nice kit and as stated above at least get a trans cooler.I would also invest in the Transgo valve body mod as its just about neccesary for a boosted 5at.

I have extensive experience with the Crappynetics kit. I have spent a lot of money to make it right, which included several modifications and after rebuilding the turbo 3 times, I finally swapped in a Garrett.

I second the Momentum kit. If you need contacts, I know Bob at Momentum.

Supercharge it. Easy 100 HP and it will keep you at your goal. You won't eventually say "damn I wish I had more" and end up blowing your motor, rebuilding it and turning it into a whole project. Plus I think your tranny will be happier.

^ I would second his plan because Momentum went under...unless you get a great deal on a kit!

Did they, I guess they blew too much money whining and dining, flying all the big VQ shop owners all over the country trying to get everyone to push their kit they must have popped their wad.
