High Altitude, low expectations..Treadstone Turbonetics?
I use my "06 AT Coupe as a daily driver. I like the gas mileage, and I love the car. My daily commute is from 4,000 ft elevation to 6,000 ft. When I am at sea level I am amazed at the power...At higher elevations it is really anemic. Here in New Mexico we have some really great drives, some of which go up to 9,000 ft. elevation.
So turbos are a very acceptable and traditional solution for this, and all the silly little intake and exhaust mods seem to me like a waste of time and money. I have a Z tube and a Stillen airbox, and I like the sound but, I want 100 more horsepower. I am thinking that putting on just a basic single turbo with nothing else may be the answer. Treadstone Turbonetics single turbo? Is this any better than the regular Turbonetics turbo? Ball bearings? Can I get away with no transmission mods or exhaust?
Thanks guys,,,,,

the turbo kit that treadstone sells is the exact sameone as the one turbonetics sold. turbonetics just sold the rights of that turbo to treadstone. if your lookin i to a single kit i would go with the momentum performance kit. you can get away with doin no trans upgrades but would at least recommend a trans cooler. going single you will most likely need to do a exhaust mod. i am runnin the tn kit but want to switch to the momentum kit.
