Hitting rev limiter before 6500+
Hey guys, A quick look at my Engine / ECU set up
Greddy G18 kit w/ Intercooler
8.8:1 short block- built.
Ported stock heads
Custom 3" TD Exhaust
HKS: IS ECU
Fully built 5AT w/ Edge Racing 2800 Stall TQ
I've had a continueing problem of not being able to tune out to 6500rpms+ on the dyno. I didn't think much of it until yesterday I noticed that my rev limiter hit at about 6200-6300 on my tach while in second gear.
Normally 2nd is filled with wheel spin but yesterday was warm, so were my tires and I didn't feel any at all. What in the world would cause this?
Any ideas?

Your tach may not be able to keep up to how fast the engine is spinning. I have a noticed it a few times as well I really noticed last time I had it on the Dino my tires kept breaking loose and it appeared I was hitting the limiter at around the same rpm you are seeing we were pretty sure it was spinning up so fast the tach was lagging just a bit behind actual engine rpm that's what my tuner and I figured was going on anyway.
