From what I understand and I dont have any direct experience boosting this particular engine if u can maintain. Stoicometric levels that are safe and won't lean your engine chances of longevity are a lot better. Now knowing that most guys that have an extra 100 or 200 hp under there right foot arent gonna want to baby it all the time .there are a lot of variables. If boost matches fuel you can safely add more power The internal limitations are also a big factor Most of my forced induction experience comes
from diesels which don't suffer from leaning out like gassers do. I think u can still cook an engine pretty easily even at 5 lbs if you end up leaning it out. Even without boost a lean mixture is bad news. I had an rx7 with a bad injector on the top side ( they have primary and secondary injectors on each rotor) and even after a shirt period of time the aftermath was not good.

I'm over 25k miles and nearly 4 years on a built block, boosting 15-18 psi daily, but don't drive it during winter time.

Wow that's not bad if I could get that many miles and boost it everyday that would be nice. I don't track my car or anything like that I just rip it up on the roads but not all the time no bouncing of the rev limiter or beating on it bad. Sending my block out this week plan on doing arias pistons ceramic coated 9:1 and Manley turbo ruff Ross ip girdle. Should be a strong setup. I have darton sleeves also but don't think I will be going over 625whp.

Dont sleeve the motor as it is not needed and the sleeves have not had very good success with this motor.

I'm around 36k right now in 3 years, but I've been deployed for half of that. So when I've been home I've driven my car a lot! I've only been to a track event a couple of times and I'm usually stay around the 10 psi area, but lately I've stuck with wastegate pressure to try and save on gas a little.

[QUOTE=Gdoser;6428797]My question is I have a greddy twin setup on a stock block. I am in preporation now for a built short block I plan on doing everything and not being a cheapo. But from what I am hearing some people are on ther third and even fourth build. I defiantly don't have that kind of time or money. So I guess what I'm asking is am just going to build this motor just to have it blow up faster than my stock block will?

How many miles have other members made on built motors????[/QUOTE
Are any of you guys running aftermarket sleeves in your motors. I have a set but want to sell them. Is it a waste?

Im well ova 700 whp.. u dont need to sleve anything.. just make sure who ever does your build I.E. machine shop and frab/tuner that they pay particular attention to the bearing measurements. This seems to be an issue on some builds when a spent bearing goes because of clearance and lack of oil.

Also getting a proper tune is highly highly recommended.
