No worries. Feel free to shoot me an offer. If it's the best in 30 days, it'll probably be yours!

Thanks man. I wish I could've kept all the little parts and pieces, but out of my control, even when it was local shops doing the work. This kit is definitely for someone with turbo kit knowledge or a local shop that can put the cold side piping together and run some oil and coolant lines.

I'm interested to know about the modifications to the stock 700 piping that would have been required to accommodate the new gtx turbos- Or is that why you got the new manifolds?

and also if you had any luck with the haltech... I remember they said they wouldn't provide one for the at... Did they?

I believe the SFR manifolds flow better if i remember correctly better than the traditional log style turbo manifolds.I dont think theres any flow bench figures available though

1. The engine mounts get in the way of the large compressor inlet and that new compressor is part of the new design to prevent surge. Hal talked to JWT and they had some ideas about adapting a smaller inlet, but we weren't sure that would ever materialize.

2. The Haltech guys said 5AT support was possible but would not commit to a timeframe. Hal continues to push for support. The two options are to disable CAN broadcasting so that the stock ECU can run in parallel or even better, output estimated torque via CAN so the stock ECU is not required. They said the latter was possible but would take time...

Equal length tubular manifolds will flow much better but may spool slightly later (not observed in my case). High rpm torque is much better.

Congrats Raj, nice to see the car still treating you well. I am just happy with the power I have lol.

I should really have mine looked over once and see if all is well but I have no intention on changing the setup. 172,000 miles and still going strong

Thanks man. Yeah I guess I was getting bored with the old setup. I was hoping the 5AT would hang in there and it's done great up to 550 whp. On the street and on a Dynojet it appears to hold fine in fact. On Hal's DD, it can't take the load at high rpm - doesn't fully slip, but power drops off as it nears 580 whp. Probably a new 6mt and OS Giken clutch going in there this winter and we'll see where the next weak link is...

Well folks going with a 6MT swap. Will be a nice change. I will miss my 5AT but I guess I am just bored with the car the way it is...

Anyone want dibs on a GTM built stage 3 5AT transmission (with paddle shifters and transmission cooler thrown in for free), PM me. It will be priced less than a stock trans and I can guarantee it will hold 550 whp. 25k miles since the build with fluid changes every 5-6k miles.

^ it's always fun stomping on 6MTs Now I am going to be one of the "slow shifters".

Ok, i've gotten a number of PMs on my motor and trans already, so let me just post it here.

The transmission is from a 2004.5 G35 coupe (TCM integrated into the valve body) and it is a fully built GTM stage 3 trans (valve body, torque converter, rebuilt internals with clutch packs, bands, etc) that has had fluid changes every 5-6k miles and has 25k miles on it. It will be drained of fluid and available to ship at the end of Nov. Asking price will be $2500+freight shipping (~$400 to USA) when posted to marketplace. If you put a deposit down in advance, I'll let it go for $2k + shipping.

The motor will be a long block and the original that came with my car. The motor originally had 25k miles on it when built. Now it has an additional 25k miles. It has a FP S1 shortblock with Eagle rods, Arias ED pistons, JWT S2 cams. I have the full invoice from Forged if you want to see all the little parts like Cosworth bearings etc. Asking price for the long block will also be $2500 + freight shipping (assuming that the compression test results come back sound). The car makes solid power and burns minimal oil for a "loose" race motor, so I'm sure it'll be fine, but I will pay Dynosty to do the test and I will post it. The motor will likely not be available until mid-Dec.
