For those of you who are boosted, was it/is it worth it?
As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think the Cosworth is worth the money (most folks actually lose torque with it). Put that money to use elsewhere.
so spacer is the way to go then I guess.
I just dont like the way the stock plenum looks, you know it is just plain...even with it polished. I will probably go with a different finish to make it look better in my eyes like a gold finish.

hit up Sean / sxexcx. he can get you a polished upper, lower, and 5/16" spacer...I think he also cuts off the tabs, etc. which are no longer needed. it looks really, really clean when installed.
Thanks man I will have to do that for sure.
Trying to save up to pay off what I owe on the G and the GSX-R 750.
Hard to do when the mod bug is constantly eating away at you lol

Want to mod the hell out of your car- then don't do it expecting gains measurable by any other means than a well calibrated Dyno or an overzealous shop and a poorly calibrated Dyno.
The vq is a spoiled brat that ain't going to put out until you start throwing money at her. Just when you think foreplay is over- that's when the boyfriend walks in... And he's into the funky stuff... And he's bi... And he's a mechanic.

Spacer is a decent mod, cheap and very effective for N/A. For FI, it's mostly for equalizing flow to the front 2 cylinders - still would recommend. Also easy to sell if you decide to move to a Cosworth plenum.
This is only true if the "power need" is roughly 0 hp / tq. With respect, there are NOT a lot of bolt ons that add power- and I mean tangible power not spending 2k for 15hp / tq. And even then the only time you're getting anything out of any of it is with the tune so factor in our extra 600 or consider all the other money spent p1ssed away.

All you FI veterans please give me your input. I have read everything available in the forums and hear more negative than positive regarding boosting. My question is if all I am looking for is more low end power and torque (don't really ever go over 4K rpm) so it feels more like a small V8....like maybe 350 ft-lbs can I avoid the gremlins etc. and have a reliable car if I go with a reputable installer like Forged Performance. They are recommending a SC. My car is a 2007 6MT with 58K miles. It uses 1/2 quart of oil every 2K miles. Please let me know your thoughts...greatly appreciate it.

But bolt-ons can do a lot once your FI. I only spent 1300 and i was very happy w/ my gains. Of course i bought them 2nd handed which i have no problem doing. That was Fast Intention HFC, Exhaust, Injen CAI and light weight pulley. I am sure if i got the SC they would support the SC.
