Cool Turbo

What is the best brand and type of turbo to put on a G35? Worth the money? and do it yourself or send it off to get done perfectly?

I know you didn't mean to, but that's a very broad question with a lot of different answers based on different people's experiences. Your best bet is to start reading up on the Forced Induction sub section of the "Tech Area - V35" Engine, Drivetrain & Forced Induction.

See what setups people are running and what results they're getting. The biggest differences between one person's good setup and another person's good setup are goals and budgets.

For the last part of your question, most people won't do (all) the work themselves. Some do the install but damn near everyone ends up at a shop for a tune at some point (there are exceptions, but if you're asking this you probably aren't one of them, no offense).

Search, search, and search bro. Read the FI threads on here and over on my350z. Lots of different answers and opinions. But one thing ill tell you is its a money pit. Dont expect to just slap one on and be done with it. Lots of money will be invested into a proper setup

For reference, I've been researching and weighing my options for almost two years. And I STILL don't know if I want to rebuild and supercharge, grab a fresh short block and twin turbo, or swap for an LS2.

There are a ton of options and none of them are cheap, start with the budget and end goal (I haven't defined either which is why I haven't done anything lol).

my350z would probably be a better choice for info but if you go there in the FI section do not ask that question.

But really you need to figure out your goals for your car.
1.How much power
2.Single or twins i have the Greddy twins and am def happy with them
3.A great sinle kit would be a Boosted performance kit.

My advice is to stick with the stock block, keep your power goals modest, and don't skimp on supporting mods.

Yup- from entry level boost ST kits to insane power setups for built blocks- the boosted performance kit is probably the best option out there.
