Has there been any announcements that Infiniti will be producing a supercharged G35? Is this true or just a rumor?

It's too early too tell. But I hope they have some type of forced induction in the very near future![img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

 

No official supercharger or turbocharger from the showroom floor. No official Nismo aftermarket forced-induction yet, either. No official AWD. No official convertible. No official date on Nismo hitting the U.S. market.

If course, I'm not caring at the moment. This car is the most fun I've ever had driving. It blew the pants off my last car (granted, only a 92 Accord) while I was following the engine break-in rules.

I doubt Infiniti/Nissan itself is doing a supercharged version. If they end up doing any forced induction model, it'd more likely be twin turbo, like they did with the 300ZX. But I think you can safely assume that the G35 won't be getting anything before the 350Z except AWD, so just watch the Z boards for that stuff.

By the way, the only aftermarket supercharger I've seen for the Z (still in testing) required a big bulge in the hood. On some cars that's okay, but I think it's unacceptable for the G. Not that someone won't do it...
