Looking at Twin Turbo set ups

Why when I look at all the Twin turbo set ups there are no blow off valves and no Boost controlers?

Is there a need for BOVS with TT?

Can you use a boost controler to control both turbos?

I have no clue! help!

Thanks.

With questions like these, I recommend you do a LOT of research into how turbos work before investing the money for one. try google.

The blow off valves are probably recirculated back into the intake.

All turbo cars need blow off valves, to prevent from compressor surge. The bov that makes loud noises are more for show and will make your car run rich in between shifts. I prefer the reciculating route.

Im not sure how the Greddy/APS/etc. kits work but usually they come with actuators to help regulate the boost levels unless they are controlled by the ecu or some type of engine management (emanage, aem ems, etc.). You need a boost controller if you want to push more boost. Again Im going very broad and each kit/car are different.

You should really visit www.howstuffworks.com and search around the forums. Lots of good information around here.

.
This is not correct. As long as you place your BOV before the MAF, you will not have any issues with rich stumble between shifts. on the VQ motor, the BOV is always placed prior to the MAF...so this wont be an issue for anyone.

The BOV's that release into the atmosphere are actually better at doing their job, and are not just for show.
