How long did your VQ last with forced induction?

I'm thinking about going with a Stage 2 Stillen S/C kit. It has a 3 year/36k mile warranty to it seems like the best choice. Plus since Stillen works so closely with Nissan it seems like the best choice as far as how much access they have to their tech.

My main question is, with a good tune (proper amount of hours) how long do you think the engine will last with stock internals? I'm not trying to get 500whp, just about 360whp at the most. What's everyone's experience with Stillen S/C? Has anyone had a ring/piston/rod go on them with this kit?

Thanks for any information given.DOMO

If you want 360whp just go with the vortech... Plus you can keep the stock hood ftw

I'm already planning on buying a CF hood so it isn't an issue.

Vortech has proven results with less issues down the road its up to you. FI is an experience that you have to delve into ready to spend twice what you expect. If you can budget the appropriate money in case anything goes wrong, your system should last.

Search around, some people run vortech from day 2 of owning their cars and DD where others install the kit and BOOM!

The difference is you need a top-tier vortech installer/tuner whereas for the stillen you only need to buy it.

both are 3 year/36k

Was expecting to pay about 10k all together.

Vortech has an installation manual, you can do it yourself and you can also find it on their webpage.

A healthy motor with a quality dyno tune and prompt maintenance will last as long as a stock motor. 360whp isn't stressing VQ internals with a proper afr and timing

You were given good advice multiple times yet still you ignore it. Why is that?
