Because the warranty is better on the stillen kit than the vortech which is why I made this thread. I don't want anywhere NEAR 450+ hp. I think 350whp is possible with a proper tune on a Stillen. I just think maybe his engine is a dud. How can you drop 40whp from rims alone? That just doesn't make any sense to me. Something seems off... Yeah the Stillen isn't going to give you crazy gains like the Vortech but if you're not trying to get massive HP I would think it's possible. I mean, jesus, the GTR gets near 600hp and look at what it runs. The VR38dett isn't far off the VQ37hr, the turbo's are pretty small. The Japanese just know how to tune, and in the end I think tuning properly is the best bet you can have when it comes to FI. It's not something you can cut corners on, the website claims a stage 2 can get to 400whp so I wouldn't doubt that it isn't possible with a tune and a few mods outside of the s/c.

400whp??? I'm assuming you're referring to a Sc kit for a G37 and not a G35. Here's what to expect on our cars: https://g35driver.com/forums/forced-...port-here.html.

06 G35 coupe 5at

motor is at almost 100k. synthetic oil every 3k miles.

fast intentions HFC and exhaust
5/16 plenum spacers
z tube
stillen tranny cooler
transgo valvebody
grounding kit
3.5 diff
04 brembo package and stoptech slotted rotors
mishimoto performance radiator
adjustable BC coilovers
m45 sport package rims painted bronze

Compression is fine
Driving is pretty much babied but during the summer I like to drive quite a bit because it's just amazing hearing that engine purr while you're on the road at night.

Going to be buying a new hood and figured if I was gonna eventually supercharge her, I might as well get the CF Stillen hood

I have some money saved up now but I'm in the process of getting her painted Millenium Jade.

By Summer I'll have about 8k saved up

Trust me my engine is def not a dud and it seems you need to do a lot of reading on how dynos and rotating mass work....god these noobs just blow my mind sometimes.

exactly, it's torque multiplication. You can put a set of light 16" on and really tell the difference, even by butt dyno.

The guy isn't going to take our advice.. why would he.. most of the people in here have been FI for as long as the platform has had FI platforms available.

just a question.

If I remember correctly, Vortech uses a "V" belt. It seemed to be prone to slippage. I remember someone here converting to a flat toothed belt. Does anyone remember how that worked out?
