Vortech Install Question

Where did you guys re-route your power steering cooler's lines when you in stalled you Vortech kit? Im busy installing my kit right now and cant figure out where the hell to route them. The pic from the install manual doesnt make sense to me, in it the lines for the cooler are routed up and through a small hole in the upper left corner of the rad support (if looking at the front of the car) and I dont see how they can even get them to go there?! And I dont have the adhesive backing that Vortech describes in the install manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bumping this up because I just ran into a huge problem...

So I assemble the mounting bracket and attach the supercharger and go to install the lot onto the car and realize that the supercharger isn't oriented properly.

Link has the necessary pictures.

So is there some way i can loosen and re-position the front portion of it to point in the correct direction?

I got this kit used off my350z.com so I'm not sure if the Z's have a different orientation of the blower for some reason? Although I thought the kits were pretty much interchangeable

I'm using the install manual and these sites to help with the install:

Please someone help me lol Im too stunned to even be mad right now.

So it's non-parallel with the engine timing cover?

Check the brackets, I have a feeling something got torqued under massive pressure.

You can see that the discharge side of the blower is pointing up over the pulley, when it should be pointing down like on other vortech builds

I see that there are 6 allen head bolts holding the blower together, can i loosten those and re-position the front half of the blower to face the right way? I just drained the oil out of it so that wont be an issue.

So far so good, ran into yet another problem LOL

In the future when I decide to buy an FI kit I'll just buy a brand new one.

Here's a link to the pics, http://imgur.com/a/wBS34#0, The first image is a pic I stole from BremboLuv's FS thread, the pipe circled in red is the one I'm having problems with. The one that came with my kit is different, and I cant get it installed, as you can see in the other 4 pics, 2 each with the pipe installed from each end...I ordered a 30 degree silicone elbow which should be here this weekend in hopes that it will solve the fitment issue.

If it doesn't, does anyone know where I could buy that pipe individually?

Thanks

I would suggest take some measurements of what you need to a shop and either have them make one, or buy a pipe and have the shop just bend it for you. I order stuff from a place called ATP turbo because they're pretty quick with getting things out to me.

Just bumping this up for anyone who runs into the same problem in the future.

I cut 2" off of the intercooler outlet side of the pipe and that gave me clearance in the drivers side wheel well and the pipes nearly line up, 9/10 fitment

A hump coupler will work just fine....
Or cut and weld the pipe more to your liking.

I had the same issue when I installed my vortech. The solution was cutting 2-3" off the driver side charge pipe.
