Supercharge a High-Mileage Stock Engine?

Hi all.

As you could possibly tell by my username , I currently own an '06 G35 Sedan 6mt. Currently sitting at 190,000 km (just over 118,000 miles), she runs well but the old girl is getting up there in age. A buddy of mine is parting out his coupe and offered to sell me his Stillen supercharger setup. Which leads me to ask two question:

1) Is it possible to safely run a supercharger setup (or any forced induction setup) on a high-mileage VQ?

2) If it is safe, what's a good amount of boost to run on a high-mileage engine reliably and without blowing it up?

I'd do a compression test and leak down test first.

If all turns out well, I should be good to go? How much should psi should I run and is there an expected whp & torque figure? Thanks.

Have you determined your oil consumption yet? That's a pretty good way to tell what shape your rings are in. Mine has 160K miles and it uses about a quart in 5000 miles now. I wouldn't put a blower on it.

Mine is using about half a quart between oil changes, but I change my oil at 5000 km (3000 miles) with a good quality full synthetic. Maybe a low-mileage Z would be a better build ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd rebuild the motor.
