Single turbo exhaust options

I just got a brand new treadstone turbonetics kit installed. The revision of the kit makes it a lot better than the previous turbonetics kit.

Anywho, I have it as an open waste gate and fabricated to fit my Motordyne TDX2 exhaust. It kinda lost that sound the glorious motordyne gives you paired with the Motordyne ART pipes. I was expecting that.

My question is, what options of exhaust out there ACTUAULLY sounds good with a single turbo setup? The ones I've seen just sound like crap.

keeping in mind that a turbos turbine acts like 1/3 of a normal muffler... some can get away with a good straight through resonator or straight through muffler

Straight pipe and J turns help a lot with the sounds.

I've got the Tomei Ti with Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator and it sounds awesome. Before my engine build I just had one resonator, but after the build it opened up the sound more so I added a 2cnd resonator. The Tomei is titanium also, stupid light weight.

You will have a really hard time keeping the low smooth rumble of the VQ with a single exit.

Single turbo just has that weird sound, you might get the vq purr down low.

The pipes need to be equal in length before the Y pipe that goes feeds the turbo. Once you do that you will get the VQ sound back. Did this mod to mine and sounds great.
