Thumbs up

That is a sweet set-up, plus I like the Carb legal and warranty-ness of the Stillen.

I especially like how you can still use the stock front end, cuz I like it better then the Stillen.

I wonder if one can use my AEM cold air still if they get one of them Stage 2's...

Anyway, good luck and have fun!

I am enjoying it to the max. Besides changing the hood, i got a new bumper that isnt required at all but nice to show off the intercooler and also get some more air flow to it. You can check out those pictures at www.jdj27x.com/ts

Once i get it painted and installed i will post pics of my car.

I checked on this same thing (warranty w/ stage 3) and Stillen says you have to use their headers to achieve this. Sounded a little off to me. Is that how you plan on getting the warranty? OR are you going to buy the pulley through a vendor and uninstall should you ever have an issue?

Stillen probably said this because with headers you will loose boost and adding the stage 3 pulley with the stillen headers will give you around the same boost as a stage 2 with stock manifolds.

As crazy as that sounds, I believe you are right!

Kenny at Stillen and I spoke of this very thing, he confirmed that also. So for me I'll keep my headers and high flows, not lose the monies spent on the parts/labor, invest the measely $90 for the stage 3 and get the stage 2 boost back.

NOW how to get the Stage 3 AND the warranty. Kenny's reply was that you had to purchase/install THEIR headers and that just doing the stage 3 by itself made it ineligible. Why would just their headers work and not another brand unless this was simply a ploy to sell you more Stillen products ? I would think the majority of buyers of the sc kit are also opting for the warranty too.

I have no problem with Stillen maximizing their profitability but this seems a little underhanded way of doing it.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If they are providing a warranty with their stage 3 with their headers, they should honor that warranty with any aftermarket headers. Luckily, you don't need to get a stillen exhaust and intake to keep that warranty
