05 G35 APS TT - verification and testing in CA this week

Hi Guys, Just a quick post to let you know that APS's head tech is in CA this wek to install and tune an APS TT system on the new 05 model G35, the new 300 HP Nissan factory engine.

As this twin turbo fitment is an unknown right now, APS management decided to send our head tuning tech over to the US to verify the APS twin turbo fitment on the 05 G35 model.

I'm positive that all of the APS intercooled twin turbo system hardware will fit up correctly on the 05 G35 though the tuning data will need to be developed for this new engine, with some luck I will be able to update you guys later on this week as to what we found out and to the new power level of the 05 G35 with the APS twin turbo system installed and tuned on CA 91 octane fuel.

Will post more info later on this week.

Peter

Peter,
Since the APS techs are coming to Cali, tell them to go ahead and bring along several of those G35 supplemental kits.

You're welcome.

I hope to be able to confirm this APS twin turbo conversion for the new 05 model G35 by Friday, the main concern for APS is the factory ECU and it's compatibility with the Unichip computer.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that all goes well with the new 05 G35 twin turbo fitment - it should be a very fast car tuned correctly.

So, any info on the single turbo kit for the G35? I haven't heard much about it. I thought I heard that it was released, but I am not totally sure. Thanks peter

Yeah, I'm really interested in the ST kit as well. I have a 5AT sedan and would like to get Peter's thoughts on putting the ST kit on my car. There's a group buy over at another site w/ a price that's comparable to the Stillen Stage2 SC - well actually cheaper if you consider that you don't need to replace the hood.

Not at the moment, right now our total focus is on the APS twin turbo system to suit the G35 coupe, this is what APS has spent the last 6 weeks on, that is testing the APS twin turbo system to make sure all is 100% compatible and reliable.

In addition our head APS tech is in the US checking fitment and tuning data on the new 05 model G35 (298 hp engine) and after this work is completed we will then start testing the APS intercooled single turbo system on the G35, I will of course keep you guys updated as testing is completed.

No worries and I will give you more info over the next 2 weeks - if all goes to plan the APS single turbo system won't be far away from release.

Thanks

Peter

does anyone else find it ironic that APS is installing this kit in the one state where it is not yet street legal?

Not really, if that is where their shop is, it makes sense. Irony, maybe, but a lot of modifications aren't CARB or Street legal (off-road use only).

I don't have any experience with the G35 sedan, I'm not really sure what differences there are between the G35 coupe and G35 sedan, (APS only has a G35 coupe in Oz for product development) would be best to let one of our more experienced APS dealers look at you sedan and hopefully they can shine some light on the issue for you.

Send me a pm if you want to discuss this in more detail.

Thanks

Peter

Will be shipped at the end of May - the tooling for the moulded silicone hose has run behind the original time schedule.

Thanks

Ironic maybe, though the CARB Issue has not stopped all of the other US companies selling FI product in CA.
