G35 APS Intercooled Single Turbo System testing - all positive so far

Hi Guys,

Just a quick post to let you know that the APS single turbo system testing has commenced and to date all is looking very positive, no major surprises in terms of product fitment which is very pleasing.

Right now we are testing the G35 intercooled single turbo system with the stock Nissan G35 exhaust system (this will be the worst case scenario in terms of HP gain) and after this testing is completed APS techs will then retune/remap the computer for higher Horsepower.

There were no physical fitment issues with the APS intercooled single turbo system so all looking very positive right now, I will post more info later on today and maybe even a power and torque graph and some under hood pics.

let me know if you guys have any questions pertaining to the G35 APS single turbo system.

Thanks

Peter

Sweet!
If my SC doesn't satisfy me after my build, I may consider the ST.

That's awesome Peter! Thanks for the update. How about some videos of the dyno or something to keep me going.

When you retune will you be adding your exhaust or any other mods or just tuning? What boost level will it be set at?

I can't wait! Christmas in July!!

Just a reminder to fellow G owners...There's still a GB going on for this kit over on 350zmotoring.com forced induction forum and 10 have been sold so far. If we hit 25, APS will include the Tall Boy Plenum for free. Check it out.

peter:

do you think the stock clutch will be able to handle the power from the single intercooled turbo?

With a good low restriction exhaust system and on 91 octane fuel I believe that around 370 to 380 WHP would be expected and around 390 to 400 WHP on 93 octane fuel.

Thanks

Will do in a few days time - at the moment APS techs are busy with road testing.

Thanks

For normal street use yes, (this depends on the condition of the stock clutch of course) for drag racing on sticky rubber I don't think so, or not for very long is my best guess.

If your going to race the G35 with turbocharging I'd recommend you install a good twin plate clutch - the ATS soft feel twin plate or tripple plate clutch would be an ideal choice.

Thanks

Peter
