Vortech Installed!
i'm curious as to where you got the supercharger installed and tuned. i couldn't help but notice that you live in miami and your handle is UMG35, do you go to UM? my sister goes to school at UM and she has a cb coupe. i'll be attending FIU this fall and i have a black g35c, i'd love to get a ride in your car if it's ok with you, maybe at the florida meet.
i am running out of the box set up w/ 5 threads showing as well and i have the same sound. i thought it was just me but my air filter is crunched like yours
sick car man.
sick car man.
about your blow off valve. If it is the typical vortech unit, it's okay BUT......
You can upgrade to a greddy type-S BOV.
By doing so, your BOV will not be open every time your engine is pulling vacuum.
Before you jump all over me, listen up.
Under normal driving, the Greddy BOV is not open (unlike the vortech unit) It only opens up when there are BOTH vacuum and too much boost pressure. This is only possible if the throttle is shut down at high rpm. The blower is still trying to pump air into the engine, but the blade is closed and there is vacuum in the mainfold. All the backed up voost pressure is in the piping.
The Greddy is adjustable! You set when you want it too oopen up. When The throttle is closed. YOu don't get any kind of wierd idling or stumbling.
You live in Miami I assume. The mustang street racers in Miami have been using this trick BOV for almost 10 years.
